      Dietetics

Dietetics is the science and practice of applying nutrition to promote health, manage certain medical conditions, increase performance and recovery, and to help reach individual goals through dietary planning and evidence-based nutrition knowledge.

Using our knowledge, a tailored dietary plan can be made based on an individual’s needs, resulting in you achieving desired results without feeling like you need to sacrifice your favourite foods or restrict yourself. This will also allow us to create a sustainable and interesting approach. We can also treat and prevent a variety of health conditions through an individualised dietary approach.

Reasons you may need Dietetic input:

      • Aid in performance for a specific sport or endurance event
      • Effectively recover from your extensive training routine
      • Help with putting on lean muscle mass or to help with fat loss
      • Fuelling appropriately for matches, training, and events
      • Management of chronic conditions
      • Ensuring you will be consuming and absorbing adequate nutrients
      • Guidance on evidence-based approaches in an online world full of misinformation

Common complaints of an insufficient diet may include:

      • Not progressing in the gym, exercises, and performance
      • Undesired body composition
      • Losing strength, power, and speed throughout your performance
      • Mismanagement of conditions
      • Progression of chronic conditions
      • Bowel and stomach concerns such as nausea

What to expect from the session:

      • An assessment of your diet and other factors that may be limiting yourself from achieving your goals
      • Tailored interventions that will be suitable for your lifestyle, habits, and interests
      • Personalised plans that can help you reach your specific goals, with ongoing support and step by step approach
      • Effective communication with you to ensure you receive all the right information and clearly outline the plan. We also communicate directly with referrers and other health professionals as needed
